One of my favorite sunrise views from Doughton Park along the Blue Ridge Parkway in northwest North Carolina, overlooking the Mountains-to-Sea Trail as the first light reached across the ridgelines. As I scrolled through the morning’s images later, this one stood out immediately and required very little editing.
Doughton Park is one of the most scenic and expansive sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway, known for its open meadows, long-range mountain views, and access to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
